Yamuna, yamuna, yamuna....
Heading off to White Bear Lake, MN tonight for a weekend workshop on Yamuna Body Rolling and I CANNOT WAIT!
If you've never heard of it, be prepared to have your life changed (at least your body!) I took a workshop in Seattle many years ago ('06 I believe?) and remember feeling about 7 feet tall after the class. I've never felt such a body high and so dang good and worked over in my life...It's been a bug in my brain ever since.
As a massage therapist, I'm constantly in search of the "THING" that will help my body get the attention it deserves after doing what I do. I remember in massage school my instructor advised that we should get one massage every 10 that we give. Ya right. Great thought, hard to put into practice. I do yoga, I stretch, I work out, and I DO get massage. But still, I need more.
In walks Yamuna. End of story.
4 years later and I'm FINALLY doing it...Phase 1 of Yamuna Body Rolling. Phase II sometime in the Spring then I will have another tool to show my clients how to take even better care of their bodies, themselves.
Let's face it, who can afford to rely on someone else's hands to make their muscles feel better all the time? Yamuna helps to PROLONG the affects of massage so you will feel better LONGER between massages! It's the coolest thing, really.
and I'm so jazzed to be starting the process...Yamuna Body Rolling!

Really? My first client in Madison is from Portland?
And he's my client? Really??? How serendipitous is that? In town for a morning meeting. Yup. He's that important. Check him out! http://verysiriusproductions.com/awards/

I've pushed "Pause". And it stuck! And I woke up in Wisconsin!
Here it is, darn near Halloween of 2010 and I'm just now waking up to the technology that used to run the show. My sabbatical last year left me months without a phone, a computer, an iPod....and you know what? I enjoyed it!
I've moved to the heartland, Madison, WI. I followed my heart and my own advice. Madison is kinda like Portland, about 20 years ago. And I like that too.
Since my last blog post a lifetime of things have happened, besides the bigee of relocating to Madison.
I've become a Certified Practitioner of Interior Alignment and I'm thrilled to be beginning my consulting business. It's a million-times-over rewarding to see it when someone is freed of simple things that block them from the big things...
I'm still practicing massage therapy too. I've stepped away from operating a studio and instead am trying the Independent Contractor route. My home base is at Pinnacle Health & Fitness Club at the base of the Capitol Building in downtown Madison.
Folks ask, are you still massaging the rockstars and going on tour? Well of course! I'm still available, still prepared and still ready for that opportunity! My range has just reached the midwest now too!
I'm continuously working on my workshops and private one-on-one trainings for the bodyCushions and am always seeking new bodyworkers that have a desire to do even better work and enhance their careers!
And of course, I am always planning the next big trip!
